CONCERT DA COOPERAZIUN WITH FREE BUS SENT - SAN NICLÀ - SENT Supported by the Federal Office of Culture and Cultural Promotion of the Grisons CELLO & CELLO, Gyula Petendi and Matthieu Gutbub "Time travel of two cellos through the centuries with works by Jeanne-Baptiste Barrière, Friedrich August Kummer, Gyula Petendi and Ernst Mahle" Composer Gyula Petendi (*1954) Studied violoncello at the Music Academy in Detmold (D) with Prof. Irene Güdel. Afterwards he played in the Graunke Symphony Orchestra in Munich as well as in the MAV Symphony Orchestra in Budapest. Since 1986 he has been living in the Engadine, where he teaches at the music schools of Lower and Upper Engadine. He regularly performs as a chamber musician.

Matthieu Gutbub (*1992)
Was born in Saint-Louis (France). From 2001 to 2014 he took cello lessons with Prof. Ivan Monighetti at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel and completed his "Master of Arts in Music Performance" with distinction. This was followed by a "Master of Pedagogy" at the Hochschule der Künste Bern with Conradin Brotbeck. In addition to his activities as a cellist, he also performs as a gambist, baritone and speaker.
