Il tablà - The luxurious holiday home in Ardez Il tablà is a 400-year-old Engadine hay barn. It was completely expanded in 2015 and stylishly furnished by designers with unobtrusive luxury. Duri Vital, the well-known Senter architect, has rebuilt the Engadine stable with great attention to detail. The house has about 700m2 of unspoilt land. The property is located on the upper edge of the village of Ardez, where directly adjacent green mats invite you to walk; in winter there is a beginner slope with ski lift. Ardez is one of the best preserved Engadine villages in this area. Since the charm of the old village is completely preserved, it counts as a model village of Romanesque living culture. The surrounding area is chosen by the WWF as a priority protected area. The ruin Steinsberg, with the remains of the St. Lucius Chapel, towers high above the village and invites you to short walks, which are rewarded with magnificent views. Village tours take place regularly. The large and varied ski area Scuol can be reached from Ardez in 5 minutes via Ftan, or in 10 minutes via Scuol. A cross-country ski run with night lighting can be found directly in the village of Ardez, reachable on foot in 3 minutes. The neighbouring village of Ftan also has the Dario Cologna cross-country ski trail, 8.5 kilometres long. On both sides of the valley, hikers and mountaineers will find impressive routes, whether short or long, cozy or adventurous. Popular is, among other things, the way to Scuol, which leads over a suspension bridge through impressive nature to Tarasp Castle. Highly recommended is a detour to Lai Nair. After sports, as a bad weather program or simply for recreation, the thermal bath Bogn Engiadina in nearby Scuol is recommended. Shops, bakery and post office included, are located in the village. Eggs, milk, cheese and organic meat can be purchased directly from the farm. In addition, Ardez has a café and two restaurants: the "Alvatern" is one of the most high-class restaurants in the Lower Engadine – but with moderate prices. Ardez is very well served by public transport. The train station is located below the village and can be reached from the house in just 5 minutes on foot. You will find in the house "Il tablà" everything to pamper your heart and senses. We, the owners, are a young family from Zurich. The house is also inhabited by us and is therefore fully equipped. For this reason, rentals are based on trust. We are therefore looking forward to guests who also enjoy the beautiful.
