KUNST ZU GAST, art exhibition at the Gasthaus Avrona

Description
daily
Just in time for the opening of the winter season, the interiors of the Gasthaus AVRONA are being redesigned.
Three artists arrive from different directions with colour in their luggage. In different nuances and manifestations and with specially developed techniques, they subtly integrate their works into the house. The guest brings the quiet, achromatic winter mood of the landscape with him from the road – when entering, expressive contrasts mix into a new memory puzzle.
Ann Hagnauer, colour designer in architecture, lives and works in the canton of Aargau. Her artistic contribution comprises two groups of works:
monochrome colour plates and strongly coloured works in the high-pressure process.
Sandra Dörfler is a graphic designer and lives in Karlsruhe. She explores and experiments with color and lies with her graphic works at the interface between design and art. Her paintings – abstract compositions in acrylic on canvas – make structures visible and thrive on contrast and surprise. In the interplay between disorder and order, light and dark, she leaves the neighborhood of colors to chance and thus focuses on the luminosity of colors through the use of neon.
Kirstin Eichenberg lives and works in Berlin. She is also a graphic designer and is currently completing her naturopath training. "Balance" is one of her themes: parallel to the applied activity, freelance artistic works are created again and again.
And without the many stays in the Engadine, she would not appreciate the big city.
On display in Avrona are mainly «Plümatsch», 40 x 40 cm weavings made of coloured or printed paper.
