Goat sponsorship
Goats are smart, funny and curious animals that like to have contact with people. On the Suot and Valmala goat pastures in the canton of Graubünden, we keep Bündner Strahl goats, peacock goats and brown mountain goats, all of which are eagerly waiting for a godmother or godfather.
How it works
In summer you have the opportunity to adopt a goat. Become a pin or mima of a goat on Alp Suot in Guarda or Alp Valmala in Ardez. With such a sponsorship, you not only support the goat alp itself, but also other related projects in the Swiss mountains. In return, you will receive a photo of the goat and a "Stückli" goat cheese.

Alpine removals 2024
Ardez
On Saturday, 28 September, the goats return from the Valmala Alp. The goats will arrive in the village of Ardez at around 12.00 noon. There will be a small aperitif including lunch for the guests (for a fee). The goats remain in the village until 4.00 pm and can be visited by their sponsors.
Guarda
On Saturday, 28 September 2024, the goats will return from Alp Suot to Guarda. A small market and catering facilities will be available on site.
Visit Alp Suot:
- Daily from 16.30 to 18.00
- Please bear in mind that milking takes place during this time and the alpine farm must continue to operate.
Guided hikes Alp Suot:
- Each Saturday 20 July, 17 August and 7 September 2024
- Meeting point: 2.15 pm at the «Guarda, cumün» bus stop
