Description

The tour starts in the middle of Guarda at the PostBus stop Guarda, cumün. We walk 200 m east through Schellen-Urslis Heimatdorf and turn left at the junction towards Alp Sura and Chamonna Tuoi. From here on, with every deflection, the following applies: upwards! From the water reservoir it goes more or less on the direct drop line through the forest, past the small lake "Al Laiet" to the entertained Alp Sura. From here - after the half day ascent - follows a slightly flatter part (150 hm at 1.5 km) along the mountain slopes, always inwards to Marangun. The following last ascent leads us in 3 km and 400 hm always on the western slope to the Lai Blau. This is picturesquely situated between Piz Cotschen and Piz da las Clavigliadas and reflects the mighty peaks of Piz Buin and Piz Fliana – for which the hardships are always worthwhile.

The descent is a bit rocky at first, but soon leads gently over alpine mats and conveys a feeling of weightlessness. Below Alp Suot we cross the mountain stream Clozza and then always follow its course. After the gorge Foura Turnina the creek is crossed again and from point 1561 the last 500 m short ascent follows back to Guarda.

Geheimtipp

A visit to the museum in the old fortress is very rewarding, especially if you are traveling with children.
