A visit to the Museum Schmelzra in S-charl, with the bear exhibition is very rewarding. The experience-oriented exhibition gives an insight into the past, the way of life, the biology and the return of the brown bears. It is particularly suitable for children.

On the immediately adjacent Bear Experience Trail, 9 interactive stations amaze young and old guests and provide practical tips on how to behave in a bear area.

Mountain hike (white-red-white). Steep debris field in the descent from the Fuorcla towards Val Plavna. In spring and autumn snow is to be expected here. Sure-footedness required. This hike requires an elementary alpine experience, orientation skills, hiking boots are recommended.

From the Postbus stop Mingèr, the path leads over the dam wall directly into the national park. On the left hand, caves appear as if carved into stone, the head of a witch can be seen. Idyllically along the stream it goes uphill to the rest area Mingèr. On the meadow of this resting place many marmots are home, while on the opposite slope often many deer graze. The path leads west to the Sur il Foss crossing (2317 m above sea level.M.). The route now leaves the national park and leads through huge debris fields first downhill and then slightly uphill again to the pass crossing Fuorcla Val dal Botsch (2677 m above sea level.M.). Here the view opens to the north, to the Pisoc chain, the striking tip of the Piz Plavna Dadaint and to the valley floor of the Val Plavna. From here, the route zigzags over 400 metres in altitude via flower-filled pastures back in the national park. Along the rushing Ova da Val dal Botsch, the path runs past the Val dal Botsch rest area to the Postbus stop Stabelchod (P8).
