On Monday, 26.6.23 a concert of a special kind can be heard in Scuol. Eight professional singers from Ukraine will stop in the Engadine on their 2023 Swiss tour and give a master-level concert in Scuol. The Orpheus vocal ensemble sings impressive songs from the Orthodox liturgy, Ukrainian folk songs with their own arrangements, gospels and world hits. Their voices are powerful and get under your skin. Her a cappella singing is impressive and diverse - from hymnically rousing to intimately tender, from sacred to humorous.
The group has toured many countries (France, Italy, England, Switzerland, Holland), performed at numerous international festivals and was even invited by the Vatican.
Against the background of the war situation in their home country, the concert tours abroad are subject to a strict approval procedure for the singers to leave the country.
This concert tour is a great ray of hope for the eight men, as they can pursue their profession, singing.
Following the concert tour, the eight fathers will return to their wives and children in Ukraine – hopefully strengthened by the Swiss concerts.
