Description

We launched this beer festival to bring passionate nature lovers together and offer them an unforgettable experience. The event features a breathtaking 12-km hike through the picturesque countryside, where you can fully enjoy the beauty of nature. You can also look forward to numerous tastings of exquisite specialty beers that will delight your senses. Join us and experience a day full of adventure, enjoyment, and shared joy!

We are delighted to be hosting the ninth Mountain Beer Festival on October 17, 2026.

The Hike

The hike is 11.6 kilometers long, leisurely-paced, and offers stunning views. On the opposite side of the valley, the 3,000-meter peaks of the Engadine Dolomites rise high. And on this special day, you’ll also discover the taste of the Swiss mountains, as all the mountain beer breweries use mountain spring water in their production and will be showcasing their beers at tasting booths along the hike. On the way to the festival grounds, everyone can sample about 25 varieties of mountain beer and continue enjoying their newly discovered favorite beer at the festival grounds in Ramosch.

The hike starts in Tschlin, at the post office stop, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The hike is self-guided. Each participant can decide for themselves when to start and how fast to walk. At the start, each participant receives a tasting glass, which can be used to sample beers at every stand. At the end, the glasses are intended for your personal collection.

Also suitable for families

The hike is also very suitable for children. However, the trail is not stroller-friendly.

Duration: approx. 3.5 hours.

Comfortable hiking boots recommended.

The trail is well marked.

Festival in Ramosch

All mountain beer hikers can dance to the music in the evening and continue enjoying the beer they’ve tasted. Of course, all guests who didn’t take part in the hike are also welcome. A party in the local dialect? Definitely here! Kitsch brings the biggest Swiss hits to the stage in party mode and gets the girls dancing and the guys partying just the way it should be—if you don’t go home hoarse, you did something wrong! Kitsch captivates with their bold stage presence and unmistakable festival-hut sound—a mix of the most famous dialect hits from then and now, accompanied by Styrian accordion and baritone vocals.
