The Mountain Beer Festival

Here in the mountains of the Lower Engadine, where Bieraria Tschlin SA is located, the idea of a mountain beer festival was born. Once a year, we invite independent Swiss mountain beer breweries from the mountain cantons to present their treasures on an unforgettable hike through the picturesque landscape of the Engadin. Along the route, you will meet the breweries with their tasting stands and you will discover what the Swiss mountain really tastes like: clear, original and brewed from the purest mountain spring water.

Arriving at the destination in Ramosch, the day ends together in the marquee with music, fine regional specialties and the favorite beer of the day in hand. The mountain beer festival brings together young and old, locals and guests, beer connoisseurs and the curious.

In 2027 we will celebrate our 10th anniversary. A round birthday that wants to be celebrated and that we would like to celebrate together with you.

The hike

The hike is 11.6 kilometres long, leisurely and full of views. On the opposite side of the valley, the 3000-metre peaks of the Engadine Dolomites tower up and on this special day you can also learn what the Swiss mountain tastes like: all mountain beer breweries produce with mountain spring water and present themselves with tasting stands along the route. You can try around 25 types of mountain beer up to the festival site and continue to enjoy your newly chosen favourite beer on the grounds in Ramosch.

The start is in Tschlin (post stop) between 10:00 and 14:00. The hike is individual, everyone decides for themselves when they start and what pace they choose. At the start, each participant receives a tasting glass, as a souvenir and for their personal glass collection.

Festival in Ramosch

After the hike, the party continues! Everyone is welcome in the marquee in Ramosch... whether hikers or evening guests. We will announce the music program for 2027 shortly. One thing is certain: It will be an evening worthy of the 10th anniversary.
