Senior citizen María Ángeles (Carmen Maura) is deeply rooted in the Spanish quarter of Tangier. Her apartment in Calle Málaga - full of memories, flowers and antique treasures - is her pride and joy. When her daughter Clara (Marta Etura) comes to visit, she has a single goal in mind: to pressure her mother into moving into a retirement home so that she can sell the apartment. Determined not to be driven out, María Ángeles fights for her home with wit, cunning and heart.
