Cinema Staziun Lavin - SALVATION

SALVATION
Turkey 2026 / Director: Emin Alper

An old feud over land and power flares up again between two villages in Eastern Anatolia when a clan that had previously been banished returns. In the midst of this conflict, Mesut, the brother of a village chieftain, is haunted by eerie visions. He interprets them as divine signs and begins to incite the village community against the returnees.

With his new film, award-winning Turkish director Emin Alper (Burning Days) creates a gripping political allegory that is as much a thriller as it is a parable. This multi-layered work—awarded the Silver Bear in Berlin—relentlessly exposes how populism divides communities.
