Il tablà - The luxurious holiday home in Ardez Il tablà is a 400-year-old Engadine hay barn. It was completely refurbished in 2015 and furnished by designers stylishly and with unobtrusive luxury. Duri Vital, the well-known architect from Senter, has rebuilt the Engadine barn with great attention to detail. The house has about 700m2 of undeveloped land. The property is located on the upper edge of the village of Ardez, where directly adjacent green meadows invite you to take a walk; in winter there is a beginner's slope with a ski lift. Ardez is one of the best-preserved Engadine villages in the region. Since the charm of the old village has been completely preserved, it is considered a model village of Romanesque living culture. The surrounding area has been selected by the WWF as a priority conservation area. The ruins of Steinsberg, with the remains of the St. Lucius Chapel, tower high above the village and invite you to take short walks, which are rewarded with magnificent views. Guided tours of the village take place regularly. The large and varied ski area of Scuol can be reached from Ardez in 5 minutes via Ftan, or in 10 minutes via Scuol. A cross-country ski trail with night lighting can be found directly in the village of Ardez, reachable on foot in 3 minutes. The neighbouring village of Ftan also has the Dario Cologna cross-country ski trail, 8.5 kilometres long. On both sides of the valley, hikers and mountaineers will find impressive routes, whether short or long, leisurely or adventurous. Among other things, the path to Scuol, which leads over a suspension bridge through impressive nature to Tarasp Castle, is popular. A detour to Lai Nair is highly recommended. After sports, as a bad weather programme or simply for relaxation, the Bogn Engiadina thermal bath in nearby Scuol is recommended. Shops, including bakery and post office, are located in the village. Eggs, milk, cheese and organic meat can be purchased directly from the farm. In addition, Ardez has a café and two restaurants: the "Alvatern" is one of the highest-class restaurants in the Lower Engadine - yet with moderate prices. Ardez is very well served by public transport. The train station is located below the village and can be reached from the house in just 5 minutes on foot. In the house "Il tablà" you will find everything you need to pamper your heart and senses. We, the owners, are a young family from Zurich. The house is also inhabited by us and is therefore fully equipped. For this reason, rentals are based on trust. We are therefore looking forward to guests who also enjoy beauty.
