Lena Violetta Leitner: Para(rt)sitic Protection Society (PPS)

Based on her residency in 2024, Lena Violetta Leitner is further developing the institution Para(rt)sitic Protection Society (PPS) for her solo exhibition in Nairs. The project understands parasitic strategies not as exploitative, but as creative, subversive forms of relationship with artistic and social potential. PPS opens an office on the ground floor of the Fundaziun Nairs, where a new "course" on "training" is offered. Inspired by behaviors with which parasites gain access, use resources efficiently and subtly influence hosts, visitors are invited to try out movements, postures and states that elude any immediate expediency - but may bring about change in the long term.
