Orgelkonzert - la doce vita - Orgelklänge aus Bella Italia

Matthias Grünert, born in Nuremberg in 1973, received his first musical impressions in the Windsbach Boys' Choir. He studied church music, singing and organ in Bayreuth and Lübeck and won several organ competitions. After his activities in Lübeck and Bosau, he was city and district cantor in Greiz from 2000 to 2004, where he performed Bach's complete organ works. Since 2004 he has been the first cantor of Dresden's Frauenkirche, where he founded the choir and chamber choir of the Frauenkirche as well as the ensemble frauenkirche dresden. He has worked with renowned soloists and orchestras and performed internationally. His discography and numerous media recordings prove his musical versatility. Since 2008 he has been teaching organ at the University of Church Music in Dresden and is active as an author for music publishers. On Friday, July 24, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., he will give a concert at Tarasp Castle on the organ of the Dresden organ builder Jehmlich from 1916. The program includes works by Nicolo Moretti, Domenico Cimarosa, Giovanni Battiste Pescetti, Nicolo Zingarelli, Gaetano Valeri, Domenico Zipoli, Gabriele Vignali, Giuseppe Sigismondo, Abate Antonio Botti, Giuseppe Gherardeschi and Antonio Diana.
