The family lift with its ski and sledging slope in Tarasp has been enhanced with a rail park and evening lighting on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Description

The «HIF Backyard Railpark» was built by the Hochalpines Institut Ftan (HIF) and the Snowboard Club Umblanas and enhances the offering in Tarasp with additional action and entertainment, as well as the opportunity to enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the evening.

The diverse obstacles in the rail park offer numerous possibilities and are ideal for gaining first experience in freestyle. These include rail lines with tank, flat rail and flat down rail, as well as box lines with various butter boxes such as flat box, A-frame and rainbow. The park has been continuously expanded since its construction, including the addition of another flat box and a down flat down rail, as well as two additional jumps.

The family lift is operated daily free of charge by the municipality of Scuol. The rail park is open to the public during the day, while in the evening it is mainly reserved for training sessions of the HIF Sports Academy.
