The South Tyrolean dance music is considered a pioneer of modern alpine folk music. Founded in the 1990s, the formation became known far beyond the country's borders, especially through its founding member Herbert Pixner. Her style is characterized by technical brilliance and a great joy of playing, which combines traditional tunes with an almost jazzy lightness. With albums like "Jubiläumsfahrt" they have proven that handmade music is timeless. Even without Pixner, the group remains a figurehead for authentic, high-quality South Tyrolean sound that goes equally well into the ear and into the legs.
