Details
Description
From the guest information at the PostBus stop Ftan, cumün, the route leads westwards to the High Alpine Institute Ftan. Below the sports school is the cross-country ski track where World Cup athletes like the Cologna brothers, Nevin Galmarini, or the Haller siblings have trained; parallel to this, the path leads across the field and then follows the edge of the forest of Arsüra. Above the connecting road between Ardez and Ftan, the route turns left and soon reaches the main road. Follow this for about 200 meters in the direction of Ardez and turn left into the forest at the exhibition area, through which you reach Hotel Paradies. From here, the path leads past the old mill via Nügla back to Ftan Grond and to the starting point of the hike. This scenically very attractive loop on Ftan's sunny terrace is well known to many top athletes who once attended the school and sports class at the institute.
