Description

A comfortable, short hike through a valley with a varied history. From the mining area (hence also the name Val Mingèr – valley of miners) to the nature reserve left to itself. Besides good observation opportunities for deer and chamois, the hike offers a beautiful view from Sur il Foss.

Note: Bringing dogs into the Swiss National Park is not allowed, not even on a leash. Further information as well as all protection regulations can be found under nationalpark.ch/schutzbestimmungen.

Geheimtipp

A visit to the Schmelzra museum with the bear exhibition is highly worthwhile. The experiential exhibition gives insight into the past, the way of life, the biology, and the return of brown bears. It is particularly suitable for children.
