Description

Various highlights of the region combined into one route. The start is in the mountain village of S-charl, which can be reached by PostBus from May to October. Passing through the larch forest God da Tamangur and alpine pastures, it continues to Alp Astras, where the first steep climb including a short but worthwhile carrying section awaits. Once at the top, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the mountains of Val S-charl and across to Val Müstair. It then continues through a singletrail section (occasionally up to about S3-4) to Alp da Munt. Afterwards, a relaxed section along a forest road and a short stretch on the Ofenpass road lead to the pass summit. Now endurance is tested: downhill to Buffalora and then steeply uphill again via Alp Buffalora to the next ridge, past the small mountain hut «Chamanna Marangun», all heading towards Alp Mora. Here the picturesque high valley «Val Mora» opens up, quiet, original, and surrounded by impressive mountains.

Geheimtipp

Opportunity to stop at the pass summit in Hotel Süsom Givé (E-mountain bikers can possibly recharge their battery there)
