Details

Description

The starting point of the route is at Scuol-Tarasp station. The hike starts at the mountain railways, where the first signpost is located. This points in the direction of Ftan. Then you continue up to the Rachögnia platter lift. There a narrow hiking trail begins. First, it goes through the forest up to a plateau. From there, the path is somewhat wider but also somewhat steeper. Following the path, Ftan Pitschen is soon reached. Shortly thereafter, Ftan Grond follows, where the PostAuto stop is located.

  • By the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau, or from the Upper Engadin) hourly to Scuol-Tarasp

  • By PostAuto (from Martina, Sent, Ftan, or Tarasp) hourly to Scuol-Tarasp station

Arrival information

  • From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass into the Lower Engadin on H27

  • From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards St. Moritz on H27

  • From the south: via Reschen Pass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofen Pass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27

    Scuol is located directly on the Engadine road H27 (20 minutes driving time from Vereina south portal)
