Description

From S-chanf (1669 m), the route runs on route no. 444 (National Park Bike Marathon) along the route of the Rhaetian Railway to Zernez (1485 m) and further along the Inn to Susch (1426 m). From here follows a gravel road to Lavin (1387 m). At the height of the wooden bridge, route no. 444 is left and it goes down to the Inn Gorge at Giarsun (1361 m) and up again to the hamlet of Sur En d'Ardez (1469 m), a short distance on the road to Ardez (1464 m). Now a short, steep climb leads back to route no. 444 to Ftan. From Ftan Pitschen (1644 m) it goes over a difficult single trail, crossing the road twice, further towards Scuol. This is followed by two hairpin bends (approx. 1.3 km) on the main road before the path branches off to the right at Putschigls (1361 m). The single trail leads via Nairs (1191 m) to Scuol train station (1250 m).

Directions

On the eastern edge of the village of S-chanf in the direction of Zernez. Steadily to the left of the Inn, several times ascending and descending to Zernez. Here, after the covered wooden bridge on the Spöl, the Ofen Pass road is crossed and the short counter-ascent via Plej is mastered. Past the church, we return to the forest, following the Inn to Susch and Lavin. The route follows the right bank of the Inn before crossing it at Ardez. The village is crossed before the last climb over the ruins of Chanoua, past the valley entrance to Val Tasna to Ftan, is tackled. From Ftan, a single trail leads to Nairs, from where a final section follows the Inn before the last climb to Scuol.

Alternatively, Route 444 (National Park Bike Marathon) leads from Ftan along the slope to Scuol.
