Description
Il giardin da l’En – the Romansh name of the Engadine derives from «Garden of the Inn». In the last kilometers before the national border, this garden is especially fertile, green, species-rich, and intact. Thus, the senda dal magliavirüclas, in German Warzenbeisserweg, leads through the flowery meadows and pastures of the Tschlin terrace landscape and is marked with blue signs. With their richness of breeding bird species, butterflies, and other animal species, the slopes around Tschlin are a jewel of biodiversity. The family-friendly Warzenbeisserweg playfully encourages observation of the surroundings and conveys information about the natural and cultural landscape in the Lower Engadine at info and experience stations. The themed route from Tschlin to Strada takes about two hours. Both places are conveniently reachable by PostAuto.
Geheimtipp
The themed route is especially recommended in spring (around the end of May) because the meadows are then in full bloom.
