Luis travels with his twelve-year-old son deep into the mountains of southern Morocco to a rave. He is looking for his older daughter, who disappeared months ago at one of these sleepless parties that last for days. In the confusion of what is for them a strange world, the two of them distribute the photo of the missing woman, while their hopes increasingly fade. When the rave is broken up by the local military due to political unrest, they join a small group trying to make their way through the desert to the next party near Mauritania. But the barren wilderness is unpredictable ...

French-Spanish filmmaker Óliver Laxe has won prestigious awards at the Cannes Film Festival with several films. "Sirāt" also caused a sensation and was awarded the jury prize. With hypnotic beats, immersive sounds and visually stunning landscape shots, the film captivates the audience. Its ruthlessness gets under your skin all the more deeply.
