The mountain is calling EVERYONE
Barrier-free skiing at Motta Naluns

What is sit skiing?
When we talk about skiing for wheelchair users, we generally refer to sit-skiing. This is then further divided into monoski and dual ski. A monoski is skied with only one ski and requires more independence from the skier. It is used by wheelchair users who, for example, have a deep paraplegia and can use their upper body. The dual ski has two skis and is guided by a ski instructor.

I love carving with my monoski. In Scuol, I find good pistes and facilities for this so that I can move around independently.

It's like riding a rollercoaster!
Passengers in dual skis can finally join in. Sport is an important part of bringing inclusion into everyday life. The dual ski awakens feelings that cannot be experienced in a wheelchair. «Keep going» is what you usually hear when the ski instructors need a break and the guests can't wait for the next turn.

Go up the mountain just like your colleagues!

The pilots in red
The Swiss Snowsports School Scuol-Ftan employs trained instructors who skilfully guide the dual skis on the slopes. This offer is aimed at guests who cannot ski under their own steam or simply want to try something new. Monoskiers with their own equipment will also find further training opportunities.

Every lift – every slope
All lifts can be used with sit skis. The staff are also trained to make getting on and off as easy as possible. The modern lifts, with their individual seat partitions, are also no obstacle. The lift staff simply remove the partitions and you can use the lift as normal. The slopes promise a varied adventure.
