Bianca Gisler and her goal: "Olympics 2030"
From Motta Naluns to the Olympic stage
Bianca Gisler discovered her passion for snowboarding at the age of five at the Motta Naluns ski resort and joined the "Umblanas" club. She competed in her first competition at the age of eight and went on to enjoy numerous successes in the years that followed.
Her greatest achievements include victory at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival in Sarajevo, third place at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, and her participation in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Her aim is to continue her successful career and compete in the Olympic Games again in 2030.
Injuries and disappointment
Her successes were followed by a series of injuries and disappointments. For a full three years, the Swiss athlete was unable to take part in any further competitions. On her comeback last season, however, she was able to build on her previous performances, finishing third in the overall standings of the European Cup series and securing three podium finishes in individual races. Nevertheless, this was not enough to secure her a place in the Swiss national team.
In order to continue pursuing her dream of becoming a professional snowboarder, she now wants to fund her career herself. However, she lacks the necessary financial support to achieve her short-term goals: winning the overall European Cup title and returning to the Swiss national team.
"Believe in My Comeback"
Through the "Believe in My Comeback" project, Bianca Gisler hopes to continue pursuing her big dream. She intends to use the donations raised to fund training, travel, entry fees, accommodation and equipment.
Her main goal is clear: she wants to win the overall World Cup, make her way back into the Swiss national team and, ultimately, compete at the 2030 Olympic Games in France.
