Description

The PostAuto takes you from S-charl or Scuol in a few minutes into Val Mingèr. At the valley entrance of Val Mingèr, the path leads over the dam directly into the National Park. On the left, caves carved in stone appear, the head of a witch can be seen. Idyllically along the stream, it goes uphill to the Punt Mingèr rest area. Many marmots inhabit the meadow of this rest area, while on the opposite slope often many deer graze, especially in late summer. The path leads west to the Sur il Foss crossing. From here the path steadily descends to Alp Plavna and continues along the long Val Plavna towards Tarasp. The plain at Pradatsch, also called «la Sahara», has its own charm. The stream here is often not visible beneath the rubble – you only hear it rushing underneath. Once the forest gets denser, Alp Laisch appears. From here it goes steadily downhill, past Resgia Plavna over God Plan to the end of the hike in Tarasp Fontana (PostAuto connection to Scuol hourly).

Note: Bringing dogs is not allowed in the Swiss National Park, not even on a leash. More information and all protection regulations can be found at nationalpark.ch/schutzbestimmungen.
