Two sisters have embarked on different paths in life: The older one has put her acting career above everything else and looks disparagingly at her younger sister, who has opted for a secure job, a husband and a child. After the death of her mother, her estranged father suddenly reappears in her life. The once famous, now almost forgotten director has written an autobiographically inspired screenplay and wants his older daughter to play the lead role.
