What does Sasha Waltz's dance company have in common with AI-controlled robots at ETH? Both use swarm intelligence to achieve their goals: While the German choreographer uses the individual skills of dancers to rehearse her new program, scientists in Zurich are relying on increasingly powerful algorithms to teach their computers to walk. Thanks to rapid advances, artificial intelligence is becoming ever more powerful and appears to have the potential to challenge humans for their place in the sun. But can machines even be capable of this as long as the last secrets of humanity have not yet been revealed?

What if we could transfer the essence of the human brain to artificial intelligence? Empathy, imagination, feelings - the ability to work together?
