In 2009 the last Swiss championship took place. in curling in Graubünden. instead of. At that time, it was used by the curling club
Tarasp at the Gurlaina ice rink in Scuol. Just two years later, even the European Curling Championships for young people
and juniors in Scuol. Both events were a great success for the entire region. In the last two or three years, the idea matured to repeat this success and once again host the Swiss Curling Championships in Graubünden.

This time, however, under the umbrella of the Graubünden Curling Association and in cooperation with all curling clubs in the canton
Graubünden. Various locations were evaluated for the event. In the end, the Scuol ice rink won the race over the ice rinks
in Flims, Chur, Lenzerheide and Davos. In the spring, the delegates of the Swiss Curling Federation founded the Graubünden Curling Association
with the organisation of the Swiss Curling Championships in 2026 and 2027.

Thus, from 22 to 25 January 2026 and from 21 to 24 January 2027, around 150 curling athletes will compete for national competitions at the Gurlaina Ice Rink
Honor. During the Swiss Curling Championships in Scuol, children and young people from all over Switzerland will also play for the medals in their age category. The Graubünden Curling Association pursues a very special support programme in this regard. For example, the second curling tournament for the children of the Scuol school and the neighboring communities will take place before Christmas. The winners of this tournament with around 150 children qualify for the Swiss Curling Championships in Scuol. This local children's team is then prepared for the national competition by ES Sur En. With this funding program, the association is trying to
to motivate young people with the schools and the Graubünden curling clubs so that the Engadin and Graubünden can continue to play an important role in curling in the future
