With the two internationally renowned jazz musicians Heiri Känzig (bass), who has performed on all five continents in the course of his career and worked as a professor of double bass at the Lucerne University of Music, and Jean-Paul Brodbeck (piano), who recently performed in the venerable halls of Carnegie Hall, this concert promises an evening in a class of its own.

Jean-Paul Brodbeck is one of the most outstanding European pianists, who has made a name for himself far beyond the jazz scene with his powerful and lyrical playing and his jazzy interpretations of Chopin and Tchaikovsky. He is one of the selected Swiss musicians who have performed at the legendary "Village Vanguard" Jazz Club in New York. His music combines technical perfection with a deep emotional expressiveness.

Heiri Känzig is one of the most sought-after jazz double bass players in Europe, known for his melodious, virtuoso and energetic playing. With an impressive musical curriculum vitae, ranging from collaborations with international jazz greats from Europe and America to projects with classical musicians, Känzig shapes concerts and recordings with his unmistakable performance. He is one of the hand-picked European jazz musicians who recorded for the legendary American record label "Blue Note".
