Description
After arriving in Guarda and a tour of the home village of Schellen-Ursli, the hike begins towards Val Tuoi. Above the Clozza stream, the hike leads to Alp Suot. Above the tree line, the hike continues valley inward to the foot of the mighty Piz Buin with the destination of the hike, Chamonna Tuoi CAS (2250 m above sea level).

Guarda is one of the most beautiful villages and the Engadine houses with sgraffito, narrow alleys, and quaint places to stop invite you to linger. Furthermore, Guarda has a small museum dedicated to Schellen-Ursli, who got his own film in 2017.

Directions
The hike starts in the village center of Guarda and then you follow the signs to Chamonna Tuoi CAS up to the tree line. Along the forest road, you reach Alp Suot, which is an ideal place for a short break. From Alp Suot, the hike continues into Val Tuoi up to Chamonna Tuoi CAS.

Public Transport
By the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau, from Upper Engadine or Scuol) hourly to Guarda station, followed by connection to Guarda station.
Arrival information
- From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela pass to the Lower Engadine on H27
- From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards St. Moritz on H27
- From the south: via Reschen pass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofen pass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27
- Guarda is located directly on the Engadine road H27 between Lavin and Ardez
