Autumn programme for children

Children aged 5 and above can learn about darkness and night-time in a playful way with Inga and Reto Marty from nachtaktiv. In a quiet spot in Scuol, they will learn exciting facts about animals and people at night. They will also enjoy new experiences and adventures. Tip: Following on from this experience, a night-time hike is highly recommended.

In this level, children aged 9 and above become single trail pros! Mountain bike guides take children on spectacular trails around Scuol, such as Sentiago, Muot da l'Hom and Palüds. This level requires not only riding skills but also stamina. Equipment: bike, all-weather clothing, good shoes and helmet.

Together, children aged 6 and above discover how our native animals move through the forest, how and what they see, hear, smell and taste, and how they hide. Senses are sharpened, lots of games are played, and we feel like animals. About the workshop leaders: Simon and Franziska care deeply about connecting with nature and love to inspire others to appreciate nature – people, plants and animals. Paint ceramic cups or bowls in bright colours and shapes with Butia Schlerin in Sent and take a piece of the Engadin home with you that same week: for all children aged 8 and above.

Herb gathering for spaghetti afterwards: Children aged 8 and above can join Vreni Conradin in Sent on a quest to discover edible herbs, followed by pesto making. Equipment: Guest card or bus ticket, all-weather clothing, sturdy shoes. Travel by bus to Tuffera in Sent.

With animal help and their own research backpack, children aged 7 and above are sent on a journey to Scuol to solve various puzzles and ultimately stop the mineral springs around Scuol from drying up. Meeting point: Scuol Tourist Information Centre. Equipment: all-weather clothing, sturdy shoes.

Children aged 5 and above learn how to handle horses in a playful way. They groom and saddle the horses and learn about them. On a group walk, the children take turns riding while the horses are led. Equipment: All-weather clothing, sturdy shoes and long trousers (helmets are provided).

Discover our summer programme for children and families: in July’s children’s programme, children aged 5 and over can explore the world of Schellen-Ursli through play. Whether it’s cycling, going to the cinema, taking part in workshops, or solving puzzles and marvelling at the wonders around them.

How can we make fire and what can we make with fire? Children aged 6 and above can spend the day with the whole family by the river and learn different fire-making techniques. Once the fire is lit, they can burn spoons and then cook by and in the fire.

Come and enjoy a cosy film night together, featuring films from the region. Parents with children aged 6 and over can discover *Heidi*, *Schellen-Ursli* and other films. Food and drinks are available in the bistro.

A night-time walk with educational activities for families with children aged 4 and over. An experience designed to explore the darkness with all the senses. Red-light torches are available to borrow. Tip: An educational session for children only is available either before or after the walk (during the day).
