Description

The hike starts at the PostAuto stop Ftan, cumün. From here we continue through the smaller district Ftan Pitschen. Village fountains and Engadine houses with sgraffito invite to visit before leaving the village and the panorama of the Lower Engadine mountain world opens up. In spring, crocuses adorn the surrounding meadows as far as the eye can see. It steadily descends on the wide path down to Scuol.

Geheimtipp

Scuol offers two wonderful, old village parts away from the main street Stradun (Scuol Sura, Upper Village and Scuol Sot, Lower Village) with Engadine houses as well as village squares with mineral water fountains.

Arrival information

From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via Flüela Pass into the Lower Engadine on H27
From the east: via Landeck / Austria towards St. Moritz on H27
From the south: via Reschen Pass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofen Pass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27

Ftan can be reached from the Engadine road H27 from Ardez or from the western village end of Scuol in 10 minutes by car (25 minutes from Vereina South portal)
