Description

Varied high-altitude hike from Lavin to Ardez via Guarda along the Via Engiadina. From Lavin train station, the path leads steadily uphill through forests into Val Lavinouz and over Alp Dadoura. With magnificent views of Verstanclahorn, Vadret da las Maisas and Piz Linard, the route runs along alpine slopes to Chamanna dal Bescher and on towards Guarda, partly on the "Schellen-Ursli-Weg".  After a break in the idyllic village of Guarda, the route continues over the Alps and mountain pastures towards Ardez. Via Alp Suot and Alp Sura, you reach Murtera Dadoura, a panoramic highlight. The descent then leads over meadows and pastures down to Ardez with its striking castle ruins.

Geheimtipp

Start your hike with a visit to the Swiss National Park Centre in Zernez or the Susch Museum. In Guarda, the well-known "Schellen-Ursli village", a culturally rich village walk invites you to linger. For an enjoyable break, a coffee and cake stop at the Garde-Manger is recommended.
