Description

The mineral water path «curas da baiver» starts in front of the Guest Information Scuol and leads along paths that guests used over 100 years ago for drinking cures. At the beginning of the old cure path to Nairs, the first information board on the Chalzina spring can already be seen. Then it goes down to the Inn river and crosses to the other side. At the next bridge upstream, you reach the Café Buvetta Sfondraz, a former drinking hall. When the café is open, the water from the Sfondraz spring can be tasted. Passing the nearly 150-year-old drinking hall «Buvetta Tarasp» on the opposite side and crossing another bridge, you reach the Chasa Carola in Nairs with the Carola spring. The highly mineralized springs Lucius and Emerita are currently inaccessible due to the rockfall danger on the slope behind the Buvetta. Now you go back to the junction to Vulpera and the hiking trail uphill. Here you can see venerable hotels and the spa park of the burned-down Waldhaus hotel. Next to the spa park, there is a small museum about the hotel and the early spa tourism to explore. Through the forest over the Clemgia to Gurlaina and over the lower bridge, it goes to the old village part Scuol Sot. At the Plaz and Bagnera fountains, the Sotsass mineral water can be drunk. Over the Stradun, you reach the Plazzetta fountain in the village part Scuol Sura with water from the Vi spring. The circular route ends at the Guest Information Scuol.
