Details
Description
The winter hiking trail remains closed until further notice. Due to the large amount of snow, unfrozen ground, and rain, there is a risk of wet snow avalanches.
The fourth stage of the winter version of the long-distance hike “Via Engiadina” begins with the ascent on the gondola from Scuol to Motta Naluns. On the gondola ride, you enjoy your first view of the day's destination Sent, located on a sunny terrace east of Scuol. This alpine winter hike starts at the mountain station of the Scuol gondola, Motta Naluns, at about 2150 meters above sea level. From here, it gently descends past the valley station of the Naluns chairlift and the children's lifts towards Jonvrai. Gradually, the path then leads along the mountain slope into open terrain before descending again towards the ski area. At Jonvrai, the route briefly touches the ski slopes before continuing in open mountain terrain. After some uphill altitude meters, repeatedly steeper descents must be mastered. On the way down to Sent, the path follows a short section along the “dream slope,” the valley descent of the Motta Naluns ski area.
