Olympics 2026: Information and tips for your trip to the Lower Engadine and Val Müstair
The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place in Italy from 6 to 22 February. Many spectators will travel through Graubünden to attend this major event. Increased traffic is therefore to be expected. This affects the Lower Engadin and Val Müstair. Our holiday region is located on the route to the venue in Livigno.
The canton therefore recommends that not only visitors to the Winter Games use public transport. The Lower Engadine and Val Müstair are easily accessible by public transport.

If you are coming to us by car, please allow extra time and check the current traffic situation. Good to know: In order to efficiently manage motorised traffic towards Zernez/Livigno, there will be checkpoints. This mainly affects spectators of the Olympic Games.
The transit vignette makes it easier for guests in the Engadin and Val Müstair to pass through. It can be obtained free of charge. The link to download the vignette and further information on arrival and departure as well as the current road situation can be found below.
