Worlds of sound in the Lower Engadine

The music in the Lower Engadine is characterised by traditional and modern influences. Instruments such as the dulcimer, violin and accordion, which are used at festivals and dances, are typical. Singing is often in the local language, Rumantsch. Contemporary musicians such as Cinzia Regensburger combine this tradition with modern musical styles such as pop and jazz.
