Steivan Brunies is known to us as a biologist, as one of the founders of the national park and as a great clarinetist of Engadine folk music. He recorded his spiritual testament in his passion for the fauna and flora of his homeland. In the last years of his life, this extraordinary personality wrote biology tables with the nomenclature in Puter for the schools of the Engadine and the Münster Valley. Brunies wanted to use the Engadine Romanesque names for the flora and fauna that was close to his heart. The illustrator of the panels is Jean A. Degen.
