Cinema: One Life

Nicholas "Nicky" Winton, a young London realtor, rescues 669 children from the Nazis in the months leading up to World War II. Nicky visits Prague in December 1938 and finds families who had fled the rise of the Nazis in Germany and Austria, living in desperate conditions and the imminent threat of a Nazi invasion. He immediately realizes that it's a race against time: how many children can he and his team save before the borders are closed?
50 years later, the year is 1988, Nicky (Anthony Hopkins) is still haunted by the fate of the children he was unable to bring to safety in England.
