André (Herbert Nordrum) and Vera (Asta August) hope to attract the attention of investors with their new start-up idea at a seminar. Before that happens, Vera wants to quit smoking and decides to take part in hypnotherapy. The therapy seems to be crowned with success, and soon the two arrive at the convention grounds. Before the jury's decision, the various start-ups still have to be professionally coached.

The seminars are led by the slightly sleazy coach Julian (David Fukamachi Regnfors), who likes to stage himself at the sessions. After a short time, the participants notice that Vera is behaving more and more strangely, and soon no one wants to have anything to do with her anymore.
André fears that their common goal will fail and tries to design the presentation on his own.
