With a lot of anger and motivation in their belly, a small punk band invites their role models from America to a concert in their small town in Tuscany.
A nice and loud independent comedy.
Italy, the end of the noughties in Tuscany: Edoardo, Iacopo and Michele are in a punk band and play at provincial festivals in front of ignorant audiences.
But one day they received an invitation to play in Bologna as the opening act for Defense, an American hardcore band. They can't believe it. But on the day of departure, they receive a call from the organizer:
The concert is cancelled. Despite the huge crisis, the three of them don't give up: If they are not supposed to go to Defense, then Defense should come to them! Organizing a concert turns out to be not easy. Everything that can go wrong goes wrong, and family relationships as well as the friendship of the trio are badly strained.
MARGINI is a fun and chaotic gauntlet set in the Italian countryside with a soundtrack that defies the passionate Tuscan way of speaking.
