What does "omegäng" actually mean? In search of a forgotten Bernese German dialect word, we embark on a journey through modern and alpine German-speaking Switzerland and meet people who all deal with the Swiss dialect and its diversity in their own way. While thousands of curses lie dormant in cellars and millions of pieces of paper with dialect words are meticulously processed alphabetically, on the stages of the country, dialect as feminist poetry cuts razor-sharp criticism into a landscape that has actually long since been divided into "Böle" and "Zwiebele". We look at linguistic changes, changes that make us nostalgic on the one hand, but which also have explosive social power.
