Forty years after its premiere, Jonathan Demme's concert film returns to the cinema in a remastered version. "Stop Making Sense" was recorded over three evenings in a Los Angeles theater in 1984 and shows the musicians staging themselves on stage as highly reflective antitypes. The film brings the unique energy and presence of the "Talking Heads" to the screen – a cinematic ode to the band, their work and their come-together on stage.
