NATURAMA lecture: Wild bees in Graubünden

Wild bees, which are represented by over 400 species in Graubünden, play a prominent role as pollinators of wild and cultivated plants. However, almost half of all native wild bees are on the Red List. For the conservation of these endangered species, a good knowledge of their habitat requirements is indispensable. Over the past ten years, the way of life of rare species has therefore been studied more closely. This resulted in astonishing insights into a fascinating, often highly specialized and artistic world. In his lecture, Andreas Müller uses selected examples to illustrate new findings on flower specializations and nesting site requirements of rare wild bee species from the Graubünden Alps. | The Schlossstall Auditorium of the Swiss National Park is located right next to the castle. 10 minutes from the train station.
